Hello hello—
I have a best friend who calls herself a Luddite. She’s a brilliant writer, but when the topic of building an author platform comes up, she gets a panicky look—like I just told her she has to start a Vanderpump Rules podcast and go viral on TikTok by Monday.
I get it. The way we build author platforms is changing. And if you’re not a mega-influencer, it can feel impossible to figure out where you fit in. But your platform matters. It’s how readers, agents, and publishers find you. It’s how your work reaches the people who need it most.
I’ve been studying online marketing since 2014—long before “personal brand” became a buzzword. I even taught a workshop at NYU for BinderCon called Self-Promotion (Without the Sleaze)—which was so popular that the main room overflowed into the room behind it, which overflowed outdoors—because I know that being visible doesn’t have to mean selling out or losing yourself online.
That’s exactly why I created Building Your Author Platform (When You'd Rather Be Writing)—a class designed to ease your anxiety, cut through the confusion, and show you exactly how to create an author platform that feels sustainable and aligned with who you are. No gimmicks, no stress—just clear, practical strategies.
This class will NOT be taught again. If you want in, now is the time. We'll be gathering on March 15, 2025 at 11AM PT, but there will be a recording and a portal with transcript and resources afterward for anyone who can't make it live.
P.S. Have a question? Is there something you’d LOVE to see in the class and wanna make sure is included? Hit REPLY; I’m listening.
This looks amazing, Esmé! 🎉 Immediately sent it to two friends I knew would love it.
Sounds incredible (and so needed)! Wish I had the money to join—seems well worth the cost, truly.
I'll share with friends <3 Sending you the best wishes for a successful class!
