I have been writing a page-a-day in my diary for six years now. It allows me to capture daily happenings in brief. I used to write several pages once or twice a week but would miss many things. Our memory is so fragile. I loved the detailed piece from Anais’s diary and want to do the same. I think I will have to have a separate diary for that. But then again, it won’t be as interesting as that of Anais :)
I started keeping a health journal back in 2011 to gauge how my activity and diet impacted my strength level. (I have an adult-onset muscle disease.) Now that I'm writing my memoir, I have been able to mine this journal for memories I would have forgotten otherwise. It's a gold mine.
I've been journaling all of my life and never really thought about how different people may have different methods. Super cool overview and examples!
Yay! Thank you for reading!
love all these techniques. thank you, Esmé !
Oh, I’m delighted to hear it! And hello! ❤️
