Really resonated with this post, a lot of the imagery reminded me of my own tours in inpatient psych care. Eggs sound like a wonderful freedom. Mine is a shower head that actually sticks out from the wall so I can stand underneath the water. 👊
Thanks, Esmé: beautifully said. I've been there too, and it's always a breath of fresh air to hear someone speaking openly about their experiences of inpatient ... well, as we know, "care" is often a very strong word. All the best with the class, it looks great!
There's one psych unit I've been to where the food was so good, I haven't had a decent black bean burger since. Someone described this place as the Taj Mahal of psychiatric wards. I have to agree.
I worked on a ward like that, in the days when there were keys instead of key cards, and I ate at a state hospital cafeteria just like that. Same eggs, same potatoes. May you alway know freedom, with eggs and everything.
You're a beautiful soul Esmé Wang. A few phrases that sang for me: the blue sky pressed against the building, the home fries are warm and coat my tongue with grease. I eat them all. 🤗
Thanks for talking about your time in the hospital, it rings so true to my times on the unit, even though the details are completely different. I was one of those ECT patients once. Sending love.

I agree you are a beautiful soul and you are just a beautiful woman. Sending you healing vibes and good energy. 🙌🤗
Here's to what sounds like a life of potent spiritual instruction. Sending all my helping spirits - and great eggs - your way.
❤️❤️❤️
